The titles I mentioned are just two of the ones I read, though I agree that I should read more. As I said, it was long ago, but I am interested in returning to the comics. To answer your last question, I wouldn't want to live in the fictional Gotham, but I dream of living in the real Gotham. I adore both (reading about one, and actually visiting and living in the other). Batman Forever isn’t too shabby, but it’s hardly the holy grail of Batman stories. I won't try to tell you Batman and Robin was at all enjoyable, but Batman Forever isn't too shabby. I know others, and even myself in a few ways, who argue Frank Miller is one of the worst writers of Batman ever, not in Year One though. If you're really Batman fans, read some more of it. That was ages ago, however. We are also fans of the films (except for the Schulmacher abominations) and the 90s animated series. When we call the fictional Gotham "wonderful" we are making reference to the fact that we love reading about it and seeing it onscreen, but to clarify, we would NOT like to live there!
